We are pleased to announce that MagicMods is now capable of professional modchip installation and softmodding of the Nintendo Wii. A full list of features is coming soon.

MagicMods currently offers 2 types of Wii modifications...

HardMod (ModChip Installation)

This is the most convienent mod for the user. It simply allows you to insert you Wii and Gamecube beckups and play them as if they were originals. The ModChip is also easily upgradeable by burning the update to a cd and simply inserting the disc into the console. This option is the best choice for ANY Wii user, however, due to the cost of the modchip, supplies, and time taken to dis-assemble the Wii, this option is more expensive.

ModChip Features

* Direct Boot of Wii original, import, and backup games
* Direct Boot of Gamecube original, import, and backup games
* Direct boot of homebrew in GC mode
* Fully configurable and updatable via DVD
* Play Games from any region (USA, CANADA, EUROPE, ASIA, ETC.)
* Region override for Wii and Gamecube games
* Supports multi-disc games, DVD-R, +R, +RW (no bitsetting required)
* Supports Dual Layer
* Supports factory made ‘silvers’, even with incorrect header data
* Supports, SMG, SSBB, Mario Kart and other ‘problem’ titles
* Streaming audio-fix for Gamecube games

Softmod

Softmod simply means that we make modifications to the Wii without taking it apart or altering the inside of it in any way. When performing a softmod, we place new channels on your Wii home menu that allow you to boot your Wii backups off of the disc, or even from an external harddrive. The disadvantage to this method is that when new games come out, the softmod can usually not play those backups. It is also much harder to update and requires much more experience. MagicMods does not support updating after the initial mod has taken place, so if you choose this method, you must be able to maintain it yourself. (Instructions can be found online)
